Lavender grows best in warm, dry, and sunny conditions, where the climate stays mild and steady. It's planted in well-drained, sandy, or slightly alkaline soil and even adapts to the peaty soils of hill regions, as long as drainage is in place. From June to August, the plants come into bloom, showing soft, slightly fuzzy flowers in shades that range from deep purple to pale lilac—each one a clear sign of healthy, well-timed growth.
